Questions to Ask During an Interview

Do you know the true purpose of an interview? Many people assume that it is just the employer’s way of determining if they want to extend a job offer. The truth is, an interview is a two-way street, where both the employer and the candidate have something to prove.

You read that correctly! An interview is meant to be a conversation where two things happen: (1) the hiring manager/team asks questions in an attempt to determine whether you would be a good fit for the role and (2) you ask questions to determine whether the role/company would be a good fit for you.

Regardless of how nervous or excited you may be, it’s important to take advantage of the opportunity to ask any questions you have about the role and the company. If you’re having trouble determining what to ask, below are some ideas for questions to consider. As a bonus, I’ve thrown in some questions to help you create contraction between you and whoever is conducting the interview.
